Dot! your story really took me back to my childhood growing up in Grange Road West. I rememebr the derelict buildings and often played on them. On saturday mornings we would go to the little sisters of the poor and make beds and wash the floor, or as we called it the inside pavement as it was huge slabs of stone, so cold..
ReplyDeleteFunny! I remember the young local catholic families having special days when they were seven. What were they called? They got dressed up as brides! We were always a bit wary of the old guys that went for their snack! by the way I like your story and work.
